Each project is subject to environmental and engineering review to be conducted in accordance with the applicable requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and City Code provisions. All Projects Aquatic Centers Bicycle City Facilities Economic Development Historic Sites Parking Parks Paving Pedestrian and Accessibility Railway & SMART Recreation Sewer Storm Water and Creeks Sub-regional Traffic Capacity Traffic Signals Transit Water Status ProjID Title Description Est Start Est End Proposed 00080 Emergency Groundwater Supply Development This is a multi-year project to locate and construct multiple groundwater wells to provide a backup water supply in the event of a natural disaster or other event that disrupts the City's water supply from the Sonoma County Water Agency. 2014/01 2029/01 Proposed 00158 North Trunk Sewer Replacement - Mendocino Ave to Terra Linda Dr This project will address the existing lack of accessibility to the North Trunk Sewer main for routine maintenance and subject to risks associated with traversing adjacent and/or under an existing watercourse. The project will relocate the existing 1,650 ft. of 12 inch to 15 inch vitrified clay pipe (VCP) sewer main located adjacent to Paulin Creek. 2020/08 2021/10 Proposed 00227 Fulton Rd Lift Station This project funds the project environmental phase for the replacement/relocation of the existing West College Lift Station to the southwest corner of the Church property, located at the intersection of Fulton Road and West College Avenue. A technical memoradum prepared by Brown and Caldwell dated March 4, 2015 summarizes the interim improvements, remaining life of lift station, and recommends construction of a new lift station in approximately 15 to 20 years. 2020/08 2021/10 Proposed 00284 Laguna Treatment Plant Ultraviolet Disinfection Replacement Ultraviolet light (UV) is the primary disinfection process for the City of Santa Rosa's Laguna Treatment Plant (LTP). The existing system was commissioned in 1998, has reached the end of its useful life, and no longer has the treatment capacity for peak wet weather sewer flows. This project will replace the existing UV system with a new UV system. Additionally, this project will install an effluent diversion pump station and pipeline to convey effluent to the beginning of the plant for retreatment. This provides greater flexibility for operations and regulatory compliance. 2020/08 2021/10 Proposed 00308 La Paloma Ave / East Haven Dr / Rogers Wy Sewer and Water Main Replacement This project is one phase of the replacement of Grace neighborhood water and sewer mains. Sewer and water mains replacements planned for this phase of work include: East Haven Dr from 4th St to Eleanor La Paloma Ave from East Haven Dr to Rogers Way Rogers Way from La Paloma Ave to 4th St Upsizing the water mains will improve fire flow and reduce maintenance costs. Replacing sewer main pipe reduces inflow and infiltration and also reduces maintenance costs. All streets will be reconstructed and minor stormdrain and pedestrian ramp improvements will be made at the intersection of East Haven Dr and La Palomoa Ave. 2020/04 2020/09 Proposed 00491 R9C Tank Decommission and Demolition Reservoir R9C (formerly known as R9A) is located at 4788 Bennett Valley Road. This tank is past its design life, and was replaced by the new R9A & R9B tanks. Tank was disconnected from distribution network at intersection of Bennett Valley Road at Yulupa Road in 2014. Decommissioned tank will be demolished, the pipeline to the tank will also be capped at both ends at the time of tank removal and the site will be restored to pre-development conditions. 2020/05 2020/07 Proposed 00544 Laguna Treatment Plant Flood Protection This project will install flood protection facilities for the Laguna Treatment Plant, the Geysers and Reclamation Pump Stations, and Biosolids facility. The flood protection may include walls and berms as recommended in the "Flood Protection at the Laguna Treatment Plant Feasibility Study" that was completed in July, 2016. 2021/05 2023/01 Proposed 00661 Pacific Ave Reconstruction - Humboldt St to Montecito Ave To reconstruct Pacific Avenue between Humboldt Street and Montecito Avenue. The project will also include: - Curb ramps will be reconstructed at all intersections to meet current accessibility standards. -Replacement of a short section of sewer main on Pacific Avenue and a sewer main supporting 1320 North Street as well as a large section of the water main. -Replacement of water services and hydrants -Drainage inprovements -Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) systems at King Street, Beaver Street and Elizabeth Way/Spring Street intersection. -Video Detection System at Humboldt Street, North Street and McDonald Avenue. 2020/09 2021/06 Proposed 00685 Garage 9 - Hazardous Materials (Investigation) This project is a Regional Water Quality Control Board mandated soil and groundwater study and remediation of petroleum contamination under the multi story parking garage. 2019/12 2020/08 Construction 00700 Sidewalk Survey and Maintenance This project will survey the Downtown & Railroad Square business districts and repair minor sidewalk lifts utilizing a horizontal saw cutting method. Based on the amount of repairs required from the survey and the funding provided to the project, the surveyed area has been mapped and is larger than the repair area under this contract. Priorities were discussed with the Planning department and the Santa Rosa Downtown District Executive Director. This project is intended to benefit the community and goes above and beyond the City's responsibility to maintain sidewalk. 2019/10 2019/12 Proposed 00720 Hearn Ave at Highway 101 - Phase 3 Rebuild Interchange The existing Hearn Avenue interchange at Highway 101 will be rebuilt to ease traffic congestion and improve clearance over the highway. Improvements to the overpass and approaches will include widening to four vehicle lanes, with bike lanes and sidewalk on both sides. 2020/08 2022/07 Construction 00727 Stony Point Road Widening and Reconstruction Phase 2 - Sebastopol Road to Hearn Ave The purpose of this project will be to ease traffic congestion by widening Stony Point Road to four lanes from Hearn Avenue to Sebastopol Road. The addition of travel and turn lanes, new sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and updated traffic signal upgrades will increase road safety along this vital north-south corridor. The project also includes the installation of new water main and water services, sewer main stubs to currently undeveloped parcels and storm drains. 2015/08 2018/10 Proposed 00769 Highway 101 Bike/Pedestrian Overcrossing A pedestrian and bicycle bridge crossing over U.S. 101 will connect the northern half of Santa Rosa to residential, commercial, and academic institutions while providing safe and unimpeded bicycle access from high vehicular volumes at the U.S. 101 interchanges. 2021/01 2022/07 Construction 00780 Fulton Rd Reconstruction - Occidental Rd to W 3rd St This project will reconstruct Fulton Rd. between Occidental Rd. and W. 3rd St. using portland cement concrete technology, replace deteriorated storm drain pipe near Darla Drive, install a new sewer manhole and update pedestrian ramps to current ADA standards.
